Interview with Singer/Songwriter Demetrius Lane

1.  Hello Demetrius how are you today?   I'm doing great. I'm feeling so happy and so blessed for another day.

 2. What will you say is your style of music?  I want to say that the basis of my style is R&B, but I want to venture into jazz, soul and a bit of pop.

3. Name Music arist who have inspired you?  Some artists who inspire me are definitely Tank, Usher, Jaiden Rosten, Joe and John Legend.

4. When did you first start singing? I didn't start really using my voice until I was about 13, when I was in high school. The first song I performed was "Silent Night"

5. Who's your favorite Male and Female singer? My favorite male singer is Joe Thomas, and my favorite female singer is Latayvia Cherry

6. Where do you see yourself in 5years? In 5 years, I see myself still actively involved in my career, making music, writing and touring.

7. Name a time where you was given advice when you wanted to give up?   I was told to make success a lifestyle. To really strive for things and want more for myself so that I can be able to accomplish obtaining and maintaining my dreams and career.

8. What advice would you give someone who wants to break into in the music industry?  My advice would be to try your best to MAKE opportunities instead of WAITING for them to happen. If you can really sing, then SING. Keep practicing, singing, writing, until someone hears you! Show no fear and push your abilities!

9.Name artist in the music industry you would love to calab with?  In the industry, I would love to collaborate with Mario Barrett and Tank (among so many others)

10. What can we expect from you in the future? You can expect more work from me! Look at the writing credits and background credits for other artists as well. I plan to put out an EP in 2011! Get ready for the future!!
